Family Fun

I used to work with Laura a few years back so I was really pumped when she contacted me for photos. She was having her parents and her brothers and their families over and was using it as the perfect excuse for some family photos. I just loved soo many of the photos and I couldn't narrow it down so this a going to be a big one.

We started out just hanging out at the house and let the cousins catch up. Since baby Trevor lives in Vegas, him and Shane had a lot of staring to catch up on.

Laura and her wonderful family just recently rescued a dog from the SPCA. His name is Wisdom. Then we moved outside for all the photo fantasticness.

New York Day Trip!!

I love a road trip!!! Last Saturday my mom, sister, aunt, grandmother and I all took a bus trip to New York City for the day just to spend some time together and to see a little of the city. Even though I don't live too far from NY I have only been to the city once.. and even that was only for a one day field trip in High School. (It was a visit to the Fashion Institute of NY with a clothing class.. and I wasn't even in the class!)

We took a tour around the city and pretty much all of these photos were taken from the top level of the moving bus so I apologize if they are not wonderful.

The sculpture in the below photos is a representation of the world and it originally stood at the base of the World Trade Center. You can see the damage at the top of the sculpture from falling debris. Local artists then moved the sculpture to a nearby park to serve as a reminder and memorial for those we lost on 9/11.

I couldn't see the rest of this guys shirt but from the part that I could see it looked Radtastic!!

Aunt Cat's Suprise Birthday Party!

A few weekends ago my cousins threw a suprise 50th Birthday party for my awesome Aunt Cat at Bordy vineyards , one of my Aunt Cat's favorite places for wine, food, fun and lots of dancing. It was a great day full of lots of family and friends and I had the best time. Here are a few of my favorites from the day. Buster and Grandpa Willie waiting for Cat to arrive.
Although she was already planning on spending the day at the winery socializing with friends, she was very suprised to see all of her family there as well! Suprises are so fun!

GG finally got a chance to meet her newest great-grandbaby Grace and they celebrated it by having a stare-off, Grace ended up winning but in GG's defense Grace did cheat by crossing her eyes. Who can resist smiling at that?

Emily and Phoebe got an awesome cake with photos of Cat to individually celebrate each decade of her life.
We wanted the band to sing happy birthday to Cat but they had something else in mind and made her sit on a chair in front of the stage.
What she didn't know was that she was about to be serenaded by this handsome thang!!

Once Mike arrived at the party and got his new baby girl in his arms he never let her go. So she spent a good amount of time outside with the guys. I had to sneak out there from time to time to get my Grace fix.

Lizzie & Carter

It's time for another visit with Carter and Lizzie! It's so amazing to see just how much they change in between each of my visits. Lizzie has just turned 2 yrs old and she is just getting so big and really becoming her own little person. It was fun to follow her around for a little while to get a glimpse of her world. Here are a few of my favorites.





I was trying to teach Lizzie how to make a wish on a dandelion. Well actually I left the wish part out (thought she might still be a little young for that part) and was just trying to get her to blow on it. Apparently it was more fun to try to bite it. Since it happened way too fast for me to stop it from happening I took advantage of it and photographed it instead.
Carter came over and bulldozed Lizzie after that. He was tired of sitting on the photo sidelines.

Then it was down to the beach for some lunch and some fun in the sand. Playing on a sandy shore is good for the soul.

And for a look in the past here is an old image from when I first met Lizzie at only a few months old.
