Eva & Craig

Here are a few of my favorites from Eva and Craigs beautiful wedding at St. Cecilia's Cathedral in Omaha. Despite the wind, it was an absolutely gorgeous day for a wedding.

I LOVE the huge doors in front of the Church.

Price Check!!

I can't believe it's been almost 3 years since I started Hocus Focus. I sure have come a long way since the days where I use to "practice" taking photos on my friends Christie's twin babies using a sheet tacked to the wall as a backdrop and a lighting rig consisting of Christie holding up a lamp. When I first started taking photos of children I had no idea that it would grow so quickly into a successful business that I get to enjoy every day.
Its been a long time coming but I am getting ready to release Hocus Focus version 2.0. I have been investing a lot of blood sweat tears and moola into learning new tricks in photography and photoshop so I can offer even more beautiful portraits to celebrate life. There will be lots of new exciting changes that you will be sure to love.
To accomodate for all of these changes you will notice in the next week that I will be changing all of my pricing on my website. If anyone has booked their appt. prior to that change then they will still follow the old pricing structure.
Stay tuned for other announcements and special blog-only discounts!!

Gina & Chris

Gina and Chris were married on the beach in Ocean City, MD in front of the beautiful Golden Sands Beach Club. Although rain ran us inside for portraits we were still fortunate for it to hold out until (almost) the end of the ceremony. Here are a few of my favorites from the day. Naturally the attracted a few spectators. They must have been having a party in 3B.

Drew & Nora

I met this sweet little family at Fontenelle Forest in Bellevue and we had a great time just wandering around the paths and chasing after Drew. It was a beautiful day for photos... here are some of my favorites. I love the concentration in this shot after I asked Drew how old he was.

This one is probably my favorite shot of the day.

Thanks for a great morning!

My Main Man Max!!

While I was in Maryland, my good friend Carrie organized an awesome portrait party at Sherwood Gardens in Baltimore. It is the most gorgeous park with beautiful beds of tulips all over. I'm going to try to post a few images of each family once I am finished editting them all but for now I want to concentrate on my favorite little man Max.
Here's a quick shot of Max and his little friends, Matthew and Payton. Carrie has to be the sweetest, most caring, patient woman I have ever met. She never ceases to amaze me! Max and his beautiful momma!

Max's dad Mike loves the orange tulips so we made sure to get lots of photos of those.

Love you guys!!

Happy (5 days after) Mother's Day

I just wanted to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all of my moms out there. Here are a few photos my mother at Lee and Meredith's wedding. She is the best assistant out there! She also happens to be beautiful both inside and out and the absolute most giving and caring person I know. I love you Mama!!

Lee & Meredith

While I was in Maryland I had the pleasure of photographing Lee and Meredith's wedding at St. St. Steven's Church in Crownsville. I had a great time at this wedding because Lee and Meredith were so laid back and they had such great family and friends. I walked away from the wedding really feeling like I had known everyone there for years. Thanks for a great day!

Lee is a huge Mets fan so Meredith suprised him by having a Mets patch pinned to her bouquet. The ring bearers even carried a ball of flowers in a catcher's mitt... such a cute touch!I love this shot of Meredith and her mother!

Meredith teaches 4th grade and a lot of her students came out to see their wonderful teacher get married.

Although the ceremony wasn't that long, not everyone was able to stay awake.

I don't even want to know how many photos of me turned up on those disposable cameras.
