One Light Workshop
A few weeks ago I wrapped up my whirlwind trip to Maryland with a killer workshop in VA. www.onelightworkshop.com/ It was my first official workship and it was such an awesome experience to be around all those other photographers who love the art of photography as much as I do. It was so nice to share stories, tips and techniques and make new friends.
The shooting part of the day started in the sanctuary of the church we were meeting in. Here is a shot of the room we were in with just the available light from the windows and the main lights of the room. This is just to give you an idea of the situation we were working with.
And with one light placed in front of the model you can make this much difference to the scene.
And with a few dial turns on the camera you can get a completely different image.
Then we moved outside so we could see what great images could be taken using your "one light" set-up outdoor. This was our fearless leader Zack Arias who just oozes coolness!
I had to snap a few of the photographers in action.
Joriana working her modeling magic. She was actually a workshop participant but helped out by being one of our models too. She couldnt' possibly be more adorable!!
Can you believe these next 3 photos were taken in the middle of the day!

the first photo is shot with no light and the second photo is the EXACT same settings on the camera but with using one light. Incredible difference.
