Logan in Downtown Annapolis

I met Brian, Erica & Logan in Downtown Annapolis last week for their lifestyle family session and it was the awesomest ever!! They are really laid back, super fun, adorable and most importantly willing to go along with any of my goofy ideas. I couldn't have asked for a better combination.
Annapolis was super crowded so we headed to a side street where we had plenty of room to run around.
This might be my favorite photo of the day! But I have LOTS of favorites so I had to post quite a few.
Logan is so stinkin cute! It took him a little while to totally warm up to me but once he did he was totally into it.

Ooh this one might be my favorite.

I couldn't pass up a good reflection.

Since Logan was being a rockstar during our shoot we all took a break for some Ben & Jerry's.
I also really love this shot of Logan looking through his shirt.

And just when you thought it couldn't any better than the afternoon we'd already had we headed on to the BEACH.

Brian, Erica & Logan: thanks so much for the fantabulous afternoon! It was great to share in a day in the life of your beautiful family.

Another from Kyle and Katie!

While I was finishing my edits of Kyle and Katie's famiy session I found another image that I really wanted to share. I just love so much about this photo.

Annika's 1st Birthday Session

Annika has graced my blog several times before but last week's session was a special occasion... her 1st Birthday!!!! She is still such a little peanut and soo snuggly. I absolutely adore her. We headed outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and her scrunched up faces were cracking me up.

Her older sisters Amelia and Lyla gave her a birthday crown to wear for the day and she looked like a little queen.

I love this shot of Annika and her momma Amy.

I couldn't resist taking a few photos of Annika while she ate her lunch. I just love the little piggy toes sticking out of the highchair.
Happy Birthday Annika! Hope you had a fabulous party!!

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day! I spent part of my day making re-cycled items: mostly from felted sweaters. I cut the sleeves off of sweaters and made them into coozies and wine bottle covers. The wine covers are great for gifting bottles of wine. I have since sewn on some buttons and other decorative goodness but these photos were from half way through the project.

I thought I would beautify our yard by picking up some new flowers. I'll post some more photos of that once I get them planted. I wanted to plant a dogwood tree in our front yard but we kind of have a weird soft ground/sink hole situation going on. I think we should be more concerned about that than we are.

And to top off the day I made a fabulous dinner. I've been attempting to cut meat out of my diet so I'm trying out new vegetarian meals. Tonights was a Grilled Veggi Sandwich and it was delicious!!
Red peppers, red onion, squash and zucchini brushed with olive oil on the grill.
Once those were done I tossed on some asiago cheese bread from the bakery with the spread I mixed up (mayo, minced garlic and lemon juice) and mozarella cheese.
And voila!! A super easy veggi dinner. Of course, I was way too wrapped up in the grilling and totally forgot to make the side dishes that I had. Good thing the sandwich was filling. I definetely recommend making one yourself.

Let me know if you know any good veggi dishes for me to try.

Kyle & Katie

I first met Kyle and Katie back in 2006 and it was great to get to see them again. They have the cutest blue eyes and super blonde hair and it was fun to see how much they've grown since last time. And the kids weren't the only ones growing recently .. the whole family is growing by 1 whole person (probably as I'm posting these photos :) So they took this time to capture some images of their adorable family during this fleeting stage in life.

This next one is one of my favorite family photos ever.

Thanks for letting me share in this fun time in your family's life... I can't wait to meet your new baby girl!

Hanging out with my buddy Max!

Fells Point in Baltimore was host to Pirate Day on Saturday and my parents and I headed out to meet our friends Carrie & Mike and their son Max. We had a great time hanging out and checking out all the pirates and wenches (and believe me people got decked out!) Much to my dismay I realized I didn't have my camera battery once we got downtown so I couldn't take ANY photos. I was so sad. Luckily Carrie had her point and shoot and we were able to at least get a few cute shots. Me and my buddy Max!

Thanks for sharing those Carrie!
