Tori's Senior Session

I am loving senior sessions!! And this one was no exception. Tori is such a fun, adorable senior and we had so much fun running all around town trying to fine fun places to shoot at. Her friend Marci came along for moral support and did a great job of keeping Tori totally relaxed and laughing the whole time (especially when her flip flops got stuck in the mud.. Sorry Marci)
Here is Tori the way that I saw her:

This one is one of my new favorite senior images.

I couldn't let the beautiful Marci get away without getting a few photos of her own.

The girls wanted to get a few photos together so we had a lot of fun with that.

congratulations on your senior year!!

Jodie

I flew in from California last week and now I'm in Nebraska shooting lots of portraits and 2 weddings. I will have lots more coming up so keep checking back.
Sunday I had the pleasure of hanging out with Jodie, Aaron and Justin again. This time to do photos of Jodie's growing belly. She is actually due tomorrow with a little girl! She looked so beautiful and was absolutely glowing. They just moved in to a great new house a few months ago and we were able to take advantage of the great yard.

Little boys left alone for even a few moments will end up with very dirty little hands.
I love this shot of Justin lounging.
If you ask Justin what he wants to name his new baby sister he says "Noodle" so Jodie incorporated that in her pre-baby pedicure. So cute!

Best of luck with your new arrival!!

Blog Tag

There is a silly game of Blog Tag going on and I just got tagged by the lovely Kate Triano of D.C. She is an awesome wedding photographer and I can't wait to second shoot for her in December. Once tagged you have to offer up 8 tidbits of info about yourself that not everyone knows about you. Here is what I came up with:

1. I'm not a natural red-head. Shh
2. When I am in my car alone I listen to the same song over and over and over again.
3. My mom is my best friend.
4. I didn't get my driver's license until I turned 18. I had no desire to get 1. I still hate to drive.
5. I don't ever look at the TV when I turn it off. Its really OCD I know, but its something I picked up in childhood.
6. I went skydiving for the first time last month. It was the most exhillarating experience
7.When I was in Elementary school and had friends come over to my house I would tell them that my father was really my brother.
8. And the final fact that noone knows about me is that this is what my offspring would look like if fathered by President George W. Bush. Yikes.

So now its my turn to tag a few blogs.

A Fairy Tale Wedding

I have been having the worst computer problems on top of being on a month long traveling extravaganza so this blog post is long overdue. Because they have been waiting patiently for a preview of their images I am going to post alot of my favorites. There were soo many great images from this wedding that is was so hard to narrow it down.
Faiye and Justin were married at Camelot of Upper Marlboro on a gorgeous (although pretty hot) day.
Faiye is absolutely beautful and made a stunning bride! The wedding party was HUGE! Here is a quick shot of the men before the ceremony.
I LOVE these shoes!
The ring bearer kept me cracking up all day. He was obviously loved by all the groomsmen.

As soon as the ceremony was over it was out to the humidity for some photos. It was so obvious how much Faiye and Justin really love each other.

.

There is something about this that i really like.

I love how you can faintly see Faiye and Justin smoochin in the backgroud of this photo.
Faiye had such a fairy tale wedding that we had to get some fairy tale shots. I just loved these huge windows lining the reception hall.

I love these last 2 images!

Thanks for letting me be a part of your big day!

Thousand Oaks, Califiornia

Although the real road trip adventure is over, I am still in California staying with my dear friend Christina in Thousand Oaks.
If there is one thing that we picked up from being on the road for 5 days with my mother its that dessert should be eaten after EVERY meal. So on our first day without her we found ourselves in search of the perfect dessert and coffee. But first we swung by the beach to catch the sunset.

Eucalyptus and Bubble Gum

Here are a few more photos from my trip down the coast. There are Eucalyptus trees everywhere and I just love them. The smell is incredible. During a pit stop in San Luis Obispo I had to check out Bubble Gum Alley which is just that. An alley covered in gum. The smell of this was also incredible but in a totally different way.
Since I found myself at Bubble Gum Alley with no gum I stuck a penny to an existing piece of gum.
More soon!

Driving down the California coast line!

For those of you who have been wondering where I am, I was in San Fransisco for an amazing workshop with Nate Kaiser of the Image is Found and Susan Stripling.(More on that later) and am currently driving down the coast towards LA. I am here with my mother and my "sister" Christina and we are having the time of our lives slowly working our way down stopping at random places and taking in the great views. We have been on the road about 4 days now and here are a few photos so far. The California redwoods.

Christina, my mom and I during on of of "touristy" stops to the Winchester Mystery House. The hard hats were actually required.

Lots more to come!
